Day 1, Southeast Trip

We had planned to drive to Nashville today, and spend Saturday driving to Jekyll Island, Georgia, but just like highways, life can also take unexpected turns. When we heard our brother-in-law and uncle, Steve, had passed away on Tuesday after a 14-year battle with colitis, we knew we wanted to spend these days with our family. We took our time packing things up on Friday, and left after Chloe was released from school. We headed to my hometown of DeMotte for the visitation, and spent the night at my parents home.
