Our first day at the resort started out much like every other Sunday at Cass Lake. We slept in a little, then got ready for church. We headed over to the Evangelical Free Church of Bemidji, and were surprised to see they were expanding their sanctuary. The worship service was held in their very comfortable all-purpose room, and the place was quite packed! (No wonder they need to expand their sanctuary!)

After church, we headed farther into Bemidji to get stocked up on food for the week. Since the kids didn't want to tag along on the grocery run, we dropped the older 3 off at the theater where they watched "Super 8." Chloe tagged along with Tom at the Market Fresh store, while I headed to Target, and together we got enough to get us by for awhile.

We headed back to the resort for some rest and relaxation. Reading, swimming, and general lazing around was all we had on the agenda. The girls met a few other kids at the resort...Chloe made friends with a girl named Andrea; and they met Sydney, the 13-year-old daughter of the new owners. The owners also have a 15-year-old son named Tanner. We also prepped for fishing the next day. This didn't take as much as previous years, as we have a fully-equipped fishing boat this year (since the resort didn't have any regular boats, Tony cut us a deal on a nicer one). Tomorrow we hit the lake!
