Tuesday brought another bright, sun-shiny day. This morning we took Jared & Leah out fishing, and headed over to Strawberry Bar. In previous years, we've sometimes had great luck catching lots of perch in this area. Not so this year. We spent all morning (well 2 1/2 hours) and came back with 1 perch (Leah's catch). At this rate, we were a little concerned about our fish dinner we had planned for this evening.

The afternoon was spent in the usual lake leisure activities. Tom & I also took a little bike ride around the area. In the evening, we headed back over to the Potato Islands with Leah and Chloe. I learned how to manage the trolling motor, then later switced with Tom so he could troll, and I learned how to drive the big boat motor! That was fun! But fishing again, was very slow. We've come to the conclusion that beautiful, sunny weather is a trade-off for good fishing. We ended up with 5 fish for the evening, making our grand total for two days 11. Hardly enough for a meal for our family of 6. By the time we got home everyone was so hungry, we decided to opt for frozen pizza instead, and will put off our fish dinner until Thursday. Hopefully we'll have more fish by then!
