Our fishing luck continued today, as the four of us (Tom & I, Seth & Maddie) hit the lake again. The first hour, by the Potato Islands, was very slow, and we weren't catching any keepers. We were just about about to move to another spot when Tom reeled in a nice 13" walleye! Shortly after, we moved over to the reeds in Allen's Bay and found a nice little hot spot. Each time we passed over it we would pull in 2-4 more fish. We ended up with a total of 31 for the morning...16 perch, 12 rock bass, 2 bluegill/sunfish, and the walleye. Not bad for a morning of fishing!
The afternoon was spent cleaning fish (Tom), reading and napping (Linda), and playing games and swimming (the kids). The weather was absolutely beautiful today...not too hot, not too cool, and lots of sunshine! We grilled some burgers and hot dogs for supper, and then had a relaxing evening with Paul, Melissa, and Melissa's parents, sitting around a campfire making s'mores and sipping wine. Seth regretted not taking his guitar along, but tried to serenade us on his mandolin for a bit. It was a nice end to another great day!
