Sittin' around doin' nothin'

Tom and I were on our own for a morning of fishing. We ventured out to Strawberry Bar and were able to bring in 8 perch, with several nice 10" ones. We enjoyed watching the dragonflies that attacked our hooks when we brought them out of the water.

While we were out fishing, Seth, Maddie, Jared & Chloe took a quick trip to Walker for a little shopping, and Leah hung around the resort. The afternoon was spent lazily at the beach chatting or reading our books. The kids spent time swimming with friends, and were able to do a little more tubing as well.

In the evening, we enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill for supper. There was a brief shower, so the kids decided it was a good night to go to Bemidji to catch a movie. The two cars full of kids saw either "Inside Out" (the latest Pixar movie) or "Spy," and a good time was reportedly had by all!
