Hey, it's good to be back home again
We left Birch Villa at 8:15 a.m., Central Time. Even though we sent a few things home with Mom & Dad, our car seems fuller. I can't understand why…I mean, we only added several clothes purchases, 20 quart sized bags of frozen fish, a case of ForestEdge wine, and a kitten (plus litter, kitty food, etc)! The trip home was uneventful, with a stop for lunch at Culver’s in Rice Lake, Wisconsin (where we met up with Beth and her kids). We stopped by Madison to give Jared his slack line, and to introduce him to Migizi. After visiting with him over dinner at Applebee's, we hit the road for the last leg or our trip.
We arrived home at 1:00 a.m., after 15 and 3/4 hours (a little slower than usual this year due to our sit-down dinner with Jared). Although it’s always sad to leave Cass Lake, our "home away from home," it’s still nice to be back to our real home.
