Finding Dory and other amusements
We started our day in our usual vacation way...with a little fishing. Tom and I headed to Pike Bay. Although we had a late start and things were rather slow, we ended up with 8 fish (1 small walleye caught by Tom, 5 rock bass & 2 perch).
When we returned to Birch Villa, I joined cousin Deb for our first kayak ride of the year. Leah spent time crocheting and tubing with friends. Jared and Chloe had a "reading party" at the beach. Maddie enjoyed doodling and reading. Seth relaxed after going for a good 6-mile walk around part of the Migizi in the morning.
By late afternoon, the storm clouds were rolling in, so we all piled into two cars and went to Bemidji to see "Finding Dory." It was a very cute movie, and good for several laughs. Since this was the first time all seven of us saw a movie together, I made everyone pose for a photo outside the theater.
After the movie, we made our annual trek to Zorbaz in Park Rapids. We enjoyed some nachos, our usual Mexican pizza, another pizza and the variety of beers to choose from. We had lots of fun singing along with TV show theme songs (Flintstones, Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch, Adams Family, Cheers, etc), which brought us back to good ole' days gone by.
