Wrappin' it up for 2008!
We had a great last day! The weather was beautiful, the fishing was pretty good, and we just enjoyed being at Birch Villa. We took Leah & Chloe over to Pike Bay in the morning and early afternoon and caught 17 fish (16 perch, 1 rock bass). That brought our total take-home fish number up to an even 100! We spent the afternoon and evening cleaning up, packing, taking apart the boat, doing laundry, etc. The kids enjoyed another treasure/scavenger hunt, and the chocolate malt cups they all got afterwards. They also got to go for one last round of tubing with Karrie and Landen (oh, and Ranger was in the boat too!). We just said good-bye to our neighbors (2 doors down)--Harold and Roz Watnemo (sp?) from the Fargo-Moorhead area. We just started to get to know them a little this week. Their daughter was working on a very interesting art project involving taking pictures of girls in wedding dresses while tubing, playing pool, and other settings. She's been working on this for awhile. She packed 15-20 wedding dresses! We're looking forward to seeing/hearing more about the finished product next year.
That's about it for our last day. We will leave bright and early in the morning, so I need to wrap this up for another year. Good-bye from Cass Lake!
