After another lazy morning, we finally headed out for some fishing by about 10:30. It was cool and cloudy (a change from our weather last week). We had Seth & Luke in the boat…two of the best young fishermen in the group. We decided to try our luck off the point of Star Island in order to stay out of the wind, and eventually pulled in a few. We came home with 6 perch, one rock bass, and one bluegill.

After a late lunch, Tom & I headed to Bemidji so he could visit the Bike Guy and get a couple of new tires/tubes for his bike. Then we went south to LaPorte (Minnesota, not Indiana) to visit our favorite winery: Forestedge. We enjoyed some wine-tasting and stocked up on some of our favorites for the coming year.

We headed back to the resort for a supper of burgers on the grill, and a quick fishing attempt by Tom & me. We had no success, so headed back in. Seth enjoyed some late-night walleye fishing with Luke and Roy. Although he didn't catch the elusive walleye, he did have fun.
