One dreary day can't spoil our fun! Cass Lake, MN

Today was our first dreary, drizzly, somewhat rainy day. But we didn't mind so much. We needed a day to laze around in the morning instead of "rushing" out fishing. It also gave us time to clean up the cabin a little, and get some laundry done.

Although Chloe and especially Leah were sad to see their friends Andrea and Tom and their family leave, we were excited that our other relatives would arrive today. As we waited for them we read books, played games and relaxed inside the cabin, and outside as the weather permitted. Grandpa and Grandma K arrived around 1:00, and stopped by to kill some time until their cabin at Sah-kah-tay (the resort next door) was ready. Then Deb & Roy and family (Luke, Kara, Erin and Leah) pulled in around 4:00. It was great to see everyone again!

This evening we had hamburgers on the grill for supper, and then the kids (all 10 of them!) headed over to Bemidji to see the movie "Despicable Me 2." They all had a good time, while the adults enjoyed some quiet, kid-free time at Birch Villa. All in all, a nice beginning to our 2nd week at the lake.
